July ACB Saturday Meeting – Essex

We’ll be attending The Victoria Inn, Colchester for the ACB Monthly meeting. This is a rearranged meeting from the planned Chelmsford trip as we couldn’t find a suitable venue.

Agenda:

• Pre-meeting – Bar beers and discuss Lunch options (to arrive for 13:00’ish).
• 12:30: Start meeting with welcomes/apologies.
• 12:35: ACB updates (open discussion) – suggestions:
  • AGM – Planned for November – looking to return to The Red Lion Manningtree (The Vic if not) – RS already spoken to GS to request booking the room.
  • Advent beer swap – sign up event now live
  • 3-way comp – Essex now have full squad
  • 2026 ACB competition update – site is live for sign ups, issues being worked on when reported
  • Recent competition results – who-what-when-where – round of applause!
  • Touch on any website/competition website updates needed/issues noted
  • Brewery tour updates?
• 13:00: Lunch and beer from the Bar (30 min)
• 14:00: AOB – Cover anything moved here to discuss in more detail from ACB updates.
  • Homebrew beer tasting/feedback session – no defined beer challenge
    FYI: Pacific Flavours beer challenge starts in August.

There is nothing officially set, but we’re still in the same 1/4 as the Abbot Ale challenge – so feel free to bring a clone or anythign else you have.
