Mauldons Brewery Tour
We have arranged an evening tour and tasting session at Mauldons – The Blackadder Brewery – in Sudbury.
Mauldons are the oldest brewery in East Anglia, initially established in 1795. Acquired by Nedging Hall Estate in 2019, this family-owned business has a portfolio of award-winning beers.
Recently Black Adder was awarded Silver in the CAMRA East Anglia Champion Strong Stout & Porter category and Mauldons have kindly shared the recipe with us and agreed to judge a clone challenge.
Places for the tour cost just £10. We have 12 up to 20 places available and will ask for the £10 (which will be non refundable) in January.
When you register we will send you details of the recipe, happy brewing and good luck – see you in March.
You will need to check and arrange travel nearer the time but as a guide, currently there are trains between Marks Tey (on the main line) and Sudbury running hourly until 11pm. The brewery is less than 2 miles from the station.
When do you intend running Brewery Tours later in the year? I would like to attend one for my brother’s 70th birthday. If you have a list of dates I would appreciate a copy so I can arrange something for him. He does not live locally so I would need time to arrange things.
Hi David, if it’s Mauldons you are looking for specifically, please contact them directly. We’re not affiliated to them, we’re a bunch of homebrewers that go on tours to various places and breweries.
